CLDP Nature Gore

A Lifetime of Leadership

The Chancellor's Leadership Development Program has helped me drastically improve and become aware of my skills as a leader when I came to college. I had always been in these leadership positions throughout high school but I didn't have anyone to tell me how to lead, what my natural leadership style is, things I should improve or things I'm doing well. This where CLDP helped me. I have done a lot of self-exploration, getting out of my comfort zone, and developing new perspectives with this program. Not to mention I've made a family here at N.C State. I have learned that I value Humor, Compassion, Faithfulness, Tolerance, and Risk in my leadership and that my biggest downfall is not being able to delegate certain tasks and taking on the work myself. One thing I do possess that makes me a great leader is the ability to be empathetic with my peers, I am a very understanding person and I am always there to help others. With that being said, I am so thankful to be a part of such an amazing program and I'm excited to see what the next year holds for me!
